Language	Czech. English widely spoken in all tourist areas, restaurants and hotels. German also understood by older Czechs. "Dobrý den" (good day), "Díky" (thanks, informal) and "Prosím" (please/you're welcome) are the most useful words. Czech people are initially reserved but warm once they get to know you

Safety	Prague is very safe but has specific tourist traps: currency exchange scams, overcharging taxis, pickpocketing on Charles Bridge and in the Astronomical Clock crowd. Stay away from strip clubs in Wenceslas Square if you want to keep your wallet. Otherwise the city is excellent, safe and welcoming
